Degree courses at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia consist of a system based on two cycles or levels, sequential to each other. The first cycle, which lasts 3 years, awards a Bachelors Degree (Laurea), while a further 2 years of study produces a Masters degree (Laurea Magistrale). There are, however, a number of Single Cycle, or Combined Bachelors and Masters Degree courses lasting 5 or 6 years.
For a detailed description of the whole system please have a look at the Degree Structure at UNIMORE section.
